Chris Fraser
Vancouver guitarist, composer, bandleader, and educator. First-call musician in Western Canada's jazz scene.

Bio
Christopher Fraser is a Vancouver-based jazz guitarist, composer, and educator recognized for his compelling modern approach to traditional jazz. Fluidly balancing straight-ahead swing with contemporary post-bop, Fraser has become a mainstay of the West Coast music scene, performing regularly as both a versatile sideman and an inventive bandleader. A Capilano University Jazz Studies alumnus, his refined harmonic voice was further shaped by intensive study in New York City under jazz guitar masters Peter Bernstein and Gilad Hekselman. Whether leading his organ trio or driving a quartet, Fraser delivers sophisticated, deeply improvisational performances.
